Custom Luxury Niddah Beds Built In-House

A Niddah bed should not feel like a compromise. It should feel like a beautifully designed luxury bed that also gives you the flexibility, separation, and function your lifestyle requires.

At Candace & Basil, we build custom Niddah beds in-house from scratch, not from mass-market frames or off-the-shelf split bed systems. Every detail is planned around your room, your mattresses, your headboard preference, your flooring, and the way you want the beds to connect and separate.

Whether you want two Twin XL beds that come together as a split king, a shared upholstered headboard, concealed brackets, storage bases, or a fully custom layout, we can design the entire system around your needs.

What Is a Niddah Bed?

A Niddah bed is typically designed as two separate beds that can be placed together when desired and separated when needed. Many couples choose two Twin XL mattresses because they create the overall size of a king bed when placed side by side, while still allowing each side to function independently.

Because every couple's needs, room layout, and religious guidance may be different, we build each Niddah bed custom. You can choose the size, height, headboard style, mattress support, fabric, base design, connection method, and separation method.

Luxury Quality, Not Mass-Market Construction

Most standard split beds are designed for convenience, not for luxury bedroom design. They often use basic metal frames, exposed hardware, generic proportions, and limited sizing.

Our approach is different. We build each Niddah bed as a custom furniture piece. The frame, headboard, base height, upholstery, leg placement, mattress fit, and connection method are all considered together. This allows us to create a bed that looks intentional, feels substantial, and performs properly over time.

Your bed can be made with a hardwood frame, premium upholstery, refined proportions, concealed hardware, floor-protective details, and custom finishing that matches the rest of your home. When connected, it can look like a high-end designer king bed. When separated, it remains practical, stable, and easy to use.

Custom Niddah Bed Configurations

Because every room and routine is different, we offer several ways to build a custom Niddah bed. Some clients want the easiest movement possible. Others want perfect symmetry when the beds are separated. Some want hidden hardware, while others need storage or a low-profile designer look.

Since every bed is built in-house, we are not limited to one standard solution. We can design the structure, hardware, upholstery, and proportions around the way you actually plan to use the bed.

Plan A

Wall-Mounted Headboard with Two Movable Twin XL Bases

This is one of the cleanest and most balanced Niddah bed setups.

The headboard is mounted directly to the wall, while the two Twin XL bed bases sit independently in front of it. The bases can be pushed together when connected and separated when needed.

To create a tight connection between the two mattresses, we can add concealed alligator brackets beneath the bases. These brackets rotate out when the beds are joined and tuck away underneath the bed when not in use.

Each base can also be built with anti-scratch pads or floor-protective glides, making it easier to move the beds while protecting hardwood, tile, or other flooring.

This option is ideal for clients who want both beds centred on the headboard, easy day-to-day movement, and a clean luxury look when the beds are connected.

Plan B

One Fixed Bed Frame and One Floating Bed Frame

If the headboard cannot be mounted to the wall, another option is to attach one bed frame directly to the headboard and leave the second bed frame floating.

With this setup, only one bed needs to move when the beds are separated. This makes daily use easier because one side remains fixed in place while the other moves away.

The trade-off is that, when separated, the two beds may not remain perfectly centred on the headboard. For many clients, this is a practical and worthwhile compromise because it reduces the amount of movement required.

This option works well for rooms where wall mounting is not possible, heavier headboard designs, or clients who prioritize convenience.

Plan C

Dual Mounting Positions for Connected and Separated Layouts

For clients who want both beds centred to the headboard in both positions, we can create two mounting positions for each bed frame.

One position keeps the beds connected together. The second position allows the beds to be separated while still remaining properly aligned with the headboard.

This is the most precise option visually, but it requires a little more effort when moving the beds. Each frame would typically be secured with two bolts, and a drill can make the process very easy.

This option is ideal for clients who want a symmetrical, intentional look in both the connected and separated layouts.

Plan D

Two Fully Independent Beds with Matching Headboards

For the clearest separation, we can build two fully independent beds with matching upholstered headboards. These can sit together to create the look of one larger bed or be pulled apart as needed.

This option does not rely on one large shared headboard. Each bed has its own headboard, base, and support system.

This works well for clients who want independent mattresses, independent frames, and the simplest separation possible.

Plan E

Low-Profile or Storage Niddah Bed

For a more modern look, we can build a low-profile Niddah bed with recessed legs or a floating-style base. This gives the bed a clean designer appearance while still allowing the two bases to move separately.

If storage is important, we can also build separate Twin XL storage bases with drawers or lift-up storage. Because storage beds are heavier, we carefully plan the hardware, glides, base weight, and movement method so the bed remains functional.

This option is ideal for modern bedrooms, condos, smaller spaces, and clients who want their Niddah bed to feel both beautiful and practical.

Plan F

Send Us Your Own Design and Measurements

Already have a vision in mind? Send us your own design, sketch, or measurements, and we'll build it from scratch.

Because every Niddah bed is manufactured in-house, we are not restricted to the five configurations above. If you have a specific layout, connection method, headboard shape, or set of dimensions in mind, we can work directly from your plans.

This option is ideal for clients who want something truly one-of-a-kind, have an unconventional room layout, or are working with a designer or architect on a custom bedroom project.

Built Around Your Space

Our Niddah beds are not catalogue beds. They are custom luxury beds built for clients who want the practical benefits of a Niddah setup without sacrificing design, comfort, or quality.

Because we manufacture our own beds, we can adjust the width, depth, height, headboard thickness, leg placement, mattress fit, bracket placement, and overall structure before the bed is made. This is especially important for Niddah beds because small details can make a big difference in how easy the beds are to move, separate, and reconnect.

We can also account for your flooring, mattress thickness, room size, headboard wall, base weight, and how much space you want between the beds when separated.
